"Tachineputa-no-Yakata (Tachineputa Museum)"

At Tachineputa-no-Yakata, massive 23-meter tall tachineputa (parade floats) are on display. Visitors can view them from all angles while slowly walking down a spiral slope around the floats. In the Exhibition Room, visual presentations on a large screen together with sound effects will allow visitors to feel like they are at the Tachineputa Festival.
Visitors can also see neputa creators at work in the atelier or try applying sheets of paper to a float and take part in tachineputa creation for free. There is also a tourist activity (fee required) for creating a goldfish neputa or a fan with a unique design. Visitors can enjoy the local cuisine at the observatory restaurant with a view of Tsugaru Plain and the Hakkoda Mountains.
