Tsugaru Shamisen Hall

Kanagi-machi in Goshogawara City is the birthplace of the Tsugaru shamisen (three-stringed musical instrument). The Tsugaru Shamisen Hall has an exhibition room introducing the history of the Tsugaru shamisen as well as folk songs and local performing arts practiced using the Tsugaru shamisen. Visitors can enjoy live Tsugaru shamisen performances and try playing the instrument.
